I don’t want to write long stories about how wonderful this pilgrimage experience has been; how I have enjoyed every day, how great, energetic and funny our group has been, how visitors were excited and inspiring, because then I could be evaluating for ages…so I will just say that it was an amazing experience. I’ve been so inspired and [not in a cheesy way] my life will never be the same…if I could, I would do it again.

I highly recommend it to everyone! If you ever have the opportunity to join an event like this, do it!

So this is the ‘official’ end. Wow! We only started a few days ago! Today has been a very busy day as well. A few schools made their visit, which always help to make it a very Salesian occasion.

Mass was great as we were again allowed to use our own instruments and make it into a more Salesian style. And now it is time to say bye; well, not yet, as I am sure tomorrow will bring something nice and special as well.

It has been a long day with a really nice end - most of us went to Basildon and had our evening meal together with our hosts.

I’m still really enjoying being a part of the pilgrimage; it’s such a wonderful experience, and I can’t actually believe it’s nearing its end! Visitors are still excited, full of deep thoughts which give me a lot; their eyes are still full of hope and they are still a pleasure to meet.

I know this isn’t a very original phrase, but I’m looking forward to tomorrow!

This has been my first visit to London, so you can imagine how excited I’ve been. The cathedral is just as beautiful outside as it is inside. It was a busy start to the day - unpacking straight after mass and then people from mass wanted to see DB, as well as visitors. But after this it turned into a silent pilgrimage with opportunities to make personal prayer, read all the banners and just think, staying in silence…I don’t want the end of this pilgrimage!
