In February 2010 Fr Andrew Ebrahim took a group of 6th Formers from Salesian School Chertsey to India. The purpose of the trip was twofold: to visit their partner school, Don Bosco Park Circus in Kolkata (Calcutta), and to visit the Don Bosco Ashalayam (Street Children Project) that the school raises money for. This was the second such expedition, the first being in February last year.

The group made a video of the trip which is available below via YouTube. It shows how powerfully the students were impressed by the contact with young people living in conditions so different from their own.

If you would like to know more about the trip and the Salesian work in Calcutta, please contact Fr Andrew Ebrahim.
