Following the appointment of a new Rector and a review of the team structure at Savio House we are now entering into an exciting new phase and are looking for two talented professionals with experience of working with young people to join us.

Assistant Director

Salary: 25,000 to 30,000pa (Less 500/month for accommodation with separate facilities - if required)

This new role is to assist the Director in managing and developing the retreats and work of Savio House Retreat Centre, as well as maintaining links with schools and youth groups across the UK. You will be a friendly and outgoing person with a passion to actively support our Christian aims and Salesian ethos.

You will be a practising Catholic, educated to degree level with professional experience of working with young people. Previous experience of informal work with young people and managing a team would be an advantage.

A flexible approach and willingness to work as part of a team are important as this post is demanding and varied. This is a permanent post which does not need to be residential, however you will be required to reside at Savio House when directly involved in the retreats which includes working evenings and weekends.

Team Leader (Residential)

Salary: 20,000 to 22,000pa (Less 350/month for accommodation with shared facilities)

The role of Team Leader is a residential fixed term post for two years with the possibility of one year's extension. It carries responsibility for the day to day management of the retreat team and delivery of the retreats.

You will be a practising Catholic, educated to degree level with professional experience of working with young people. You will have strong motivational skills with a flair for inspiring others and getting the best out of people. An ability to keep things in proportion and empathise with others are key to the success of this role.

The role requires excellent organisation and leadership skills with an ability to continually reassess priorities. You will be required to lead the majority of retreats which includes working evenings and weekends. Some experience of community life would be an advantage.
