db.jpgThe plans for the Bi-Centenary are being developed currently and the latest information will be provided here as soon as it is available; so please do check frequently, so you don't miss anything!!

2015 marks 200 years since the birth of Don Bosco, the Patron Saint of Young People. It is a time:

• to give thanks for Don Bosco’s life and mission
• to celebrate the worldwide Salesian movement serving young people
• to be inspired in creating the future with joy and hope

The Bi-Centenary programme will do this through a range of activities for the Salesian Family and the wider Church.

THE MASSES OF THANKSGIVING
for Don Bosco’s life and mission

The Metropolitan Cathedral of St George, Southwark, London Saturday 20th September 2014, 2.00 pm

The Metropolitan Cathedral of St Andrew, Glasgow Saturday 25th October 2014, 1.00pm Masses will be open to all but reservations will be available to secure a seat (will be available soon).

THE BIG BIRTHDAY FESTIVAL

Thornleigh, Bolton
Saturday 15th August - 6pm - 10pm

A unique Festival for the Bi-Centenary celebrating 'The Province on Mission.'

This event will celebrate the 'Province on Mission' and is aimed at those who share or support our mission across the Provicne, including members of the Salesian Family. We will come together from all our local communities and areas of mission to celebrate Don Bosco's Birthday through our Liturgy, a presentation of Don Bosco - 'A Magic Saint!', a celebration meal outdoors, and a firework finale. This event will be a great opportunity to share time together, to celebrate who we are and to share this special moment with those with whom we minister. There will be the opportunity in our Liturgy to commit ourselves once again to the Salesian mission as we look to the future with hope.
