Salesian Vocations

Could you become a Salesian?

Don Bosco dedicated his life to working for the young and poor. So that he could serve them more and more, beyond his native land and beyond his death, he shared his dream with generous helpers who were fired with his enthusiasm and vision. These became the Religious Congregation we know today as the Salesians of Don Bosco - over 16,000 priests and brothers living in communities of prayer and active service throughout the world.

The Salesian Family includes many opportunities for men and women, living in vowed communities or with their families. You can read about these other forms of Salesian life through the web sites on our links page, especially the web site of the Salesian Headquarters in Rome. (Choose your language and look for 'Salesian Family'.)

You can read more about Salesian Spirituality in our sections:

Fr John Dickson, who is in charge of our training programme, has prepared a series of reflections on vocation, an online retreat which should be spread over five days.

If you live in the UK and would like some help in discerning whether God may be calling you to a life as a Salesian priest or brother, please complete the form below.
