The members of 25th Salesian General Chapter re-convened at the Casa Generalizia to continue their work after the Easter holidays. Today Fr. Anthony Mc Sweeny, SSS, began the process of discernment which will guide the chapter members in their selection of the Rector Major and the members of the general council.
In the afternoon the process of discernment continues in linguistic groups.
The elections are expected to take place tomorrow.

The process of discernment is at its peak. This morning Fr. Anthony Mc Sweeny, who is conducting the discernment, led the members into the personal phase of the discernment process. Yesterday in the evening the members of the GC25 reunited in the chapel invoking the Holy Spirit and today they continue to prepare themselves personally.
In the morning the paper containing only one name of the one to be in charge as Rector Major was handed over. At 11.00, Fr. Mc Sweeny communicated the list of the names proposed. There were ten names in all. Among them, 8 were members of the out-going general council. On the basis of this list, the members will continue with their personal reflection in view of the election which begins at 15.30 this afternoon.
