Fr Provincial visits our Liberian Community
Fr Francis Preston SDB, accompanied by Fr Mervyn Williams SDB and Fr Jim McGarry SDB visited our Salesians in this troubled West African country from April 2nd to April 10th 2003. Fr Riccardo Castellino SDB, who has an overall responsibility for the Salesians in English speaking West Africa, was also in Liberia at the time. They found the community in good form, despite the rebel activity outside the capital, Monrovia.
As in November last year, Fr Jim McGarry took a disposable camera and captured some of the resilience and cheerfulness of the Salesians and the Liberian people
