Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez visits Battersea
The Cardinal, who is Archbishop of Tegucigalpa in Honduras, was in London to give the Pope Paul VI Memorial Lecture for 2003, on Friday 31st October, on the subject of “JUST ONE WORLD? - Global Security and Global Poverty.”
On the previous day he said Mass at Heythrop College, gave a BBC TV interview at the White City, and met various people from the Treasury, FCO, DFID, DTI, and Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor, who accommodated him at Archbishop’s House in Westminster overnight.
Before giving his lecture on the Friday, he had lunch with the Salesian Community in Battersea and met members of the Salesian Family. The pictures below were taken by Fr Des O’Riordan, Rector of the Battersea Community.
