The weekend aims to meet the needs of those aged 15-18 who are involved in working with young people, as peer leaders or preparing to do so. It will look at basic issues such as:
- Leadership skills
- Teamwork
- Health & Safety
- Presence with the young (Salesian Spirituality)
Our ideal is the following:
That the participants be accompanied by an adult responsible for their long term training.
That the adult joins in with the programme.
That the process of learning be followed up or continued in the local area.

To enable the participants to explore ways of dealing with conflict through assertiveness skills

To explore the creativity of individuals and encourage them to use this skill as a ‘gap filler’ in their youth work.
