Meeting the General Council
In September and October of 2002 Fr Albert Van Hecke was in the our British Province to make his special inspection as our Regional Councillor.
As a follow up to this visit Fr Francis Preston (our Provincial Superior), Fr Gerry O’Shaughnessy (Vice Provincial) and Fr Mervyn Williams (Provincial Economer) flew to Rome to meet the Rector Major and other members of the General Council on Wednesday 18th December.
In the picture above you can see, from left to right, Fr Tarcisius Scaramussa (Social Communications), Fr Antonio Domenech (Youth Ministry), Fr Francis Alencherry (Missions), Fr Luc Van Looy (Vicar of the Rector Major), Fr Francis Preston, Fr Mervyn Williams, Fr Pascual Chavez (Rector Major), Fr Gerry O’Shaughnessy, Fr Albert Van Hecke (North Europe Region) and Fr Francesco Cereda (Formation). Fr Giovanni Mazzali (Economer General) was also present for the first part of the meeting.
Below you can see our Provincial and Vice Provincial with the statue of Saint John Bosco outside the Salesian Generalate House, which is not far from Rome Airport.
