Tim Brabants, a former pupil of the Salesian School in Chertsey, was the winner of the bronze medal in the 1 km canoeing event at the Sydney Olympics. In November 2000 he returned to his school to speak to various year group assemblies. Tim has managed to combine his ambition to become a doctor with excellence in his chosen sport.
