European Youth Encounter

Between 31st October and 4th November there was a European Youth Encounter in Northern Italy. It took place in Valdocco, the Mother House of the SDBs, and Mornese, the birthplace of St Mary Mazarello, co-founder with Don Bosco of the Salesian Sisters, the FMA. Peter Hunter writes: To you all - Turin 2001

It has been a fantastic experience. I was overwhelmed with the visit to the Basilica where Don Bosco's body lies. What a brilliant time we had. Fr Sean really enjoyed himself and was well received by all the Gex people. I am still coming back down to earth. Valdocco is where it all began. You realise that Don Bosco was an amazing person, chosen by God to work throughout the world, touching young people's lives and creating the Salesian family. I was pleased to be the representative for England and to be attending a meeting with other past pupils from around Europe. Thanks to all those who supported my journey.
