"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." – Martin Luther King Jr.

At this special time of year, we have books to inspire and delight you. Accompany your little ones 'On the Road to Emmaus' or through 'Via Lucis: The Way of the Light'. Or perhaps, reflect with Fr Michael on the Gospel resurrection narratives in 'Alive'.

A Salesian approach to working in schools

Date: 20th May 2020, 11:00

Venue: Online

Join us at 11am on Wednesday 20 May for an online conversation with Alison Burrowes, North West Hub Development Officer, Catholic Education Service and former Salesian Headteacher.

Alison Burrowes has just completed 11 years as Head teacher of Thornleigh Salesian College in Bolton. Before that she was Deputy Head teacher at St John Bosco Arts College in Liverpool. She is now enjoying a variety of roles which are combining her passion for Catholic education with her opportunity to work alongside schools on school improvement.

She is employed by the Catholic Education Service as the North West Hub Development Officer for the national strategy 'Formatio', which aims to develop Leadership programmes which form, nourish and sustain leaders of Catholic education. She is responsible for coordinating the strategy across the five North West Catholic dioceses.
