"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." – Martin Luther King Jr.

At this special time of year, we have books to inspire and delight you. Accompany your little ones 'On the Road to Emmaus' or through 'Via Lucis: The Way of the Light'. Or perhaps, reflect with Fr Michael on the Gospel resurrection narratives in 'Alive'.

Feast of our Founder, St John Bosco

Feast of our Founder, St John Bosco

Date: 31st January 2021

The feast of our founder, St John Bosco, is celebrated on 31 January, the date of his death in 1888. Affectionately known by the Italian title given to priests, Don Bosco saw the plight of young people in Turin during the industrial revolution, and took action to help them, giving them food and shelter, education and training, and a place to play and socialise, along with sound spiritual formation to strengthen them.

The work he began with the young is continued today by the Salesians of Don Bosco, and by the women's order he co-founded with St Mary Mazzarello, Salesian Sisters, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, and is supported by the Salesian Family worldwide.
