"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." – Martin Luther King Jr.

At this special time of year, we have books to inspire and delight you. Accompany your little ones 'On the Road to Emmaus' or through 'Via Lucis: The Way of the Light'. Or perhaps, reflect with Fr Michael on the Gospel resurrection narratives in 'Alive'.

Journeying Together in youth ministry with CYMFed

After hosting the recent presentation by Fr Fabio Attard SDB, the Catholic Youth Ministry Federation of England and Wales (CYMFed) has now launched a series of talks called 'Journeying Together', delivered by a range of experts from across the globe.

The talks are streamed live on YouTube, with the opportunity for viewers to put their own questions and comments to speakers, and the videos remain on CYMFed's YouTube channel to watch later.

'Journeying Together' focuses on synodality, and aims to inspire, inform and encourage youth ministers as they continue to work with and support young people over the coming months.

The first presentation, 'The God who speaks in a digital world', was given this week by Fr Michel Remery, National Youth Chaplain for Luxembourg and the author of the international bestseller, 'Tweeting with God'. Fr Michel spoke about the Church's recent move to digital technology during lockdown, and gave valuable suggestions for taking youth ministry and other Church activities online, in balance with face-to-face events as they become possible again.

The next talk on 15 September 2020, is on the vital topics of Safeguarding, Governance and Risk Management. The speaker, Malcolm Hart, Director of the Centre for Evangelisation at the Australian Bishops' Conference, will be joined by James Camden, Director of Youth Ministry for the Diocese of Parramatta, New South Wales.

Information about the full programme of talks is on the CYMFed website, and we will be adding each event to our own website calendar so you don't miss the chance to ask questions during the live videos.

You can watch the recording of this week's talk by Fr Michel on the link below.
