"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." – Martin Luther King Jr.

At this special time of year, we have books to inspire and delight you. Accompany your little ones 'On the Road to Emmaus' or through 'Via Lucis: The Way of the Light'. Or perhaps, reflect with Fr Michael on the Gospel resurrection narratives in 'Alive'.

Jean Casha, a Salesian Cooperator from Surrey, has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year Honours list, for services to young people, particularly in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme in West Molesey, Surrey.

Jean has been a leader and trainer in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme at all levels—Bronze, Silver and Gold awards—for over 40 years, and was a member of staff at Salesian School, Chertsey for many years.

Honours recognising significant achievements and service are awarded by Her Majesty the Queen on two occasions each year, at New Year and on the Queen's birthday.

We congratulate Jean on her well-deserved award.
