Battersea – Celebrating the Feast of Don Bosco.

On Saturday 31st January, the Salesians of Don Bosco in Battersea marked the Feast of Don Bosco with a joyful Youth Day for local young people. The celebration followed the theme of the Strenna 2026: "Do whatever He tells you. Believers, free to serve."

More than 40 young people took part, accompanied by over 20 adults, including SDBs, FMAs, young adults, and parishioners from Sacred Heart Parish.

The day opened with a formation session on the life and spirituality of Don Bosco, followed by competitive and educational games and a shared lunch prepared by parishioners. In the afternoon, the young people joined creative workshops, including painting, colouring, and making bracelets.

The celebration concluded with a time of reflection and Adoration, during which participants were invited to pray and to put into action the four key verbs highlighted in the Strenna: Look, Listen, Choose, and Act.
