Reunion of the Jubilee of Youth Pilgrimage

Some of the pilgrims that went to Rome to celebrate the Jubilee of Youth in August 2025, came together at Savio House for a reunion on the weekend of Friday 6 - Sunday 8 March.

Savio is a place where young people are called to come together and share their faith with each other. This weekend was a trip for all of us who went to Rome in the summer to walk down memory lane.

We arrived Friday evening.Saturday was spent having mass, walking in the hills and, at the end of the day, a reconciliation service. When we had free time, we would all gather together and talk about our life experiences. It was a great time to be a part of the community and to be able to share our stories about Rome and how it has inspired us.It was fun to take time to reflect and remember all the fun and joy we shared by watching videos and looking at photos.

It was a shame not to be able to share with the whole group but it was great to see those who were here. We remembered that a pilgrimage does not stop after you walk through your own front door but is a life long journey and it is a promise to always keep growing, learning and discovering even if you are faced with adversity. There will always be hope and people will always be there for you.

We are all united in Christ and that church family will never abandon you (Felicity & Ophilia)
