Recently, two new Missionaries have joined the Great British Province from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Brothers Jean Marc Quetzal Mukala and Andre Nobel Kankwenda have joined the Bolton Community. They recently had the opportunity to experience snow. St John Bosco College students on the Radio!

Students from St John Bosco College in Battersea will be on the radio tonight (Friday 9th December) at 5pm.

They will be looking ahead to this Sunday's gospel, and discussing how scripture is relevant in a young persons' life.

If you're interested in listening to their programme, then they will be on Radio Maria from 5pm until 6pm

On Saturday 3rd December, Brother Steven Lloyd was ordained a Deacon by The Rt. Rev. Paul Hendricks, the Auxiliary Bishop of Southwark Diocese.

Brother Steven's family and friends attended his Diaconate Ordination. The event was also attended by many members of the Salesian Family from all over the UK.

Brother Steven will now spend the next few months, preparing for his Priestly Ordination.

Sleepout - Battersea

On Friday 25th November, about 50 students at St John Bosco College in Battersea, participated in a Sleep out in the school. Homelessness is a huge concern for many over the winter months. It was also an opportunity to raise money for homeless charities through sponsorship.

In the Archdiocese of Southwark, Monsignor Matthew Dickens has stepped down from the role of Vicar General and Chancellor.

The role of Vicar General will be given to Monsignor Gerry Ewing. Mgr Ewing has been a part of the Archdiocese of Southwark since 1981, and is also the Moderator of the Curia, for the Archdiocese of Southwark.
