We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious and self-motivated person who would like to provide a key role in maintaining our Provincial House, to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for all the community, staff and guests.

Thornleigh House has an active Salesian Community and is the centre of our Salesian presence in the UK. It is also the home to our administrative offices, Don Bosco Publications and communications department.

Duties will include:

· Maintaining the property and grounds including liaising with contractors;

· Carrying out checks and maintaining Health and Safety records;

· Carrying out minor repairs, general maintenance and decorating competently;

· Ensuring heating, lighting and drainage systems are kept in good working order.

You will be responsible for providing an efficient, effective and flexible caretaking support to the Community and for ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards.

You will be well presented with a friendly nature and will be supportive of the ethos and charitable work of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

Hours of work: 20 hours per week, 10am to 2pm (Monday to Friday)
