Farnborough HCPT pilgrims meet Cariad the dragon

Fr Pat Sherlock, Chaplain at Salesian School Farnborough, writes about the recent HCPT Lourdes pilgrimage

Some of HCPT Group 711, year 12 students from Salesian College Farnborough, met Cariad the dragon in the St Bernadette basilica at Lourdes this week.

This year, the theme of the HCPT pilgrimage to Lourdes was chosen by the Welsh Region. Cariad is Welsh for Love, and that is also the name of the friendly dragon they have brought as their mascot.

One of the students has taken on the challenge of collecting the largest number of badges, worn by other HCPT groups during Easter week. If he keeps up his present progress, he'll need a larger hoodie!

Also in the photo are Mr Gerard Owens, headmaster (r), and Mr Nick Crean, pastoral deputy head.
