"Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime." – Martin Luther King Jr.

At this special time of year, we have books to inspire and delight you. Accompany your little ones 'On the Road to Emmaus' or through 'Via Lucis: The Way of the Light'. Or perhaps, reflect with Fr Michael on the Gospel resurrection narratives in 'Alive'.

Being people of faith and action in our community

Let us pray, as we move from the sorrow of penitence to the joy of Easter resurrection, for a renewed commitment to being people of faith and action in our community.

Let us remember all of those who serve our community, particularly those in the caring and the health professions and all those who provide us with services and who reach out to those in most need.

Pope Francis told us this week that though we are separated , thought, spirit and prayer can go far; what we need is a creativity of love.

May Easter truly be a time of unbinding those who are burdened, of giving solace to those who are sick or suffering, of bringing those who feel they re in the midst of darkness into the light.

Let us remember to hold one another in love and in prayer.

I wish you and your families a blessed Easter.

'Do little things with great love'

I recently heard a beautiful song, The Porter's Gate, sung by Madison Cunningham. In the song we hear the words, 'Do little things with great love,' We all know that it is the love with which we do things that makes all the difference.

We are currently living through a pandemic that is afflicting all of us across the world, and what is more striking, are the stories of all kinds of generous acts, where people are reaching out with great love to help the most vulnerable in our society.

This Easter, let us stand strong together and never lose hope. We will overcome this pandemic and arise to New Life.

Easter is a celebration of New Life and God's great love for all of us, so let us celebrate and give thanks for His saving love, especially during this difficult time.

May our Risen Lord bless you, keep you and all your loved ones safe from all harm.

Easter blessings.

Sr Connie - Provincial
