The Salesian Sisters Congregation
Communities in UK
By their lives the Sisters witness the words of Jesus, "Whatever you do to the least of my people, you do to me." St. Mary Mazzarello said, "Joy is the sign of a heart that loves the Lord!" Her Sisters live by this motto today.
About The Salesian Sisters
In 1872 the first group of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters) made their profession in the Congregation founded by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello. Both founders shared a dream to work for the good of young people and lead them to God.
Don Bosco wanted the Sisters to be a living sign of his gratitude to God for all that he had led him to be and do in his life. Our Lady continues to guide her Sisters today.
Saints of Don Bosco
Saint John Bosco has inspired thousands of people, young and old, priests, brothers, sisters and lay people, to strive for holiness in their lives. The Church has recognised many of them as outstanding in holiness and deserving the titles of Saint, Blessed, Venerable or Servant of God.
