Happy New Year to you all!

I hope that this new year will be one of new life and great joy to you all.

For us as members of the Salesian Family, this is a special year in which we will remember, re-read, and reflect much on that famous dream that Don Bosco had 200 years ago at the age of 9. A dream that he didn't really understand at that point in his life, but which became the signpost for his life and for the lives of many young people.

Mary in this dream, places her hand on the head of Don Bosco and she was given to Don Bosco as his teacher and guide, and we know that she remained close to him. As we stand at the door of this new year, 2024, may we feel Mary's presence close to each of us, guiding us, teaching us, the path we need to follow this year.

May all our hopes and dreams for this coming year be fulfilled, because all our dreams reflect God's love for each of us, and through us for the world. Let us be aware of God's love touching and changing our lives, and may we continue to bring this love into our families, our homes, our workplaces, our world, so that 2024 can become a love and trust for all.

I will accompany you all with my prayers throughout this year.
