Recently, the Salesian Sisters hosted a prayer weekend at their Provincial house in Blundellsands. Ffion Thomas was one of the attendees and here is her account of the weekend:

A couple of weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a weekend in community with the sisters in Liverpool. After going to World Youth Day last summer, it was an opportunity to come together in prayer—not only look back at the wonderful weekend we had, but also being able to look forward into the future of how we are able to live like Pope Francis as he shares as if rooted in joy. There was only a small group of us, which allowed us to get to know each other better and share with each other. Giving insight into everyone's experiences which was such a wonderful time to learn more, and for us to also take this away to inspire and inform us. Not only did we spend time together as a small group, we also spent time with the community, and this included a Q&A session with the sisters which was such a lovely time to get to know them a little bit more, but to also be massively inspired. It was truly such an honour to hear all the stories and wisdom all the sisters willingly shared with us. We also finished the weekend with Fr Ste saying mass for us as we go forth rooted with joy, but also sharing this joy with others and appreciating all the wonderful things we have. So, thank you so much to Sr Anne-Frances, Sr Gill and Sr Bernie for organising this prayer weekend.
